Creative Packaging Solutions

Year: 2025

A laptop screen displays a minimalist webpage with a cloudy mountain background. Centered on the screen is large black text that says "Code Out This Layout So Flawlessly that It’ll Make Joel Cry." Below the text is a red button labeled "Try Now" and a smaller note beneath it that reads "* This should all be text".

I was hired as a freelancer to update the Creative Packaging Solutions website and increase engagement through Search Engine Optimization (SEO). I would work closely with the business owner, Coni Lefferts, to add new features and make the website accessible for users of all abilities. The role evolved as the needs of the business grew. At first, I fixed broken links and wrote meta descriptions and alt-text to increase SEO. Monthly visitors doubled within my first month on the job and continues to grow steadily.

Then, I added content such as the Home page video, a new team member to “The Team” page, items to the Gallery page, and articles about new products. Due to the rising tariffs overseas, Creative Packaging Solutions launched a new marketing campaign called “Made in USA” highlighting all of their American-made bottles and jars. I was heavily involved with the project, building the entire “Made In USA” section on the website, uploading over 40 products, and adding a search feature. Overall, this freelance experience was very rewarding. I loved learning about the packaging industry and applying it to web development and digital marketing.
